Recently we have found that you can use the C6 LS2 belt tensioner on the LS1/LS6 engine and it works out much better since it has a groove on the end to keep the belt on the tensioner! Get new C5 belts! GM now recommend the LS2/LS3 Tensioner for all C5 and all C6 Model Corvettes!
