Vetteworks 1998-2004 Camaro, Firebird F-Body LS1 Fuel Pump Adapter Kit w/ Weld-In Mount and Seal

This is the same kit as PN-LS1003 but includes a weld-in mounting plate with a laser machined hole sized for the 4th Gen LS1 F-Body fuel pump. It's always easier to make a square hole over a round hole. We TIG weld the mounting ring to the plate. All you need to do is cut a 5"x5" square hole and TIG or MIG the plate over the existing fuel tank. It is possible to screw the plat to the tank, if you use a good 2 part epoxy that resists fuel. Vetteworks F-body LS1 fuel pump adapter kit allows the installation of 2000-02 F-Body fuel pump into early C3 Corvettes (1968-1982) or hot rod steel fuel tanks to feed a LT1/4 , LS1,2,3,6,7,9 and LQ3 or LQ7 Chevrolet engine. We chose the F-Body pump because it's quiet, durable and a proven Delphi pump. In tank fuel pumps are safer than external pumps. This pump has a built-in fuel regulator, so there's no need for a return line. The assembly has a built in bucket around the pump to contain fuel during fuel shushing which can cau.se engine to run lean. The assembly is easily available. The kit comes with a template, lower mounting bracket and an upper clamping bracket to mount the fuel pump into position. Pump gasket is available. The adapter plate at laser machined from stainless steel.
