C5 Corvette Chrome Hood Strut Covers

These strut covers are machined from billet aluminum, highly polished and then "show quality" triple chrome plated for a professional look. These are not slip on stainless tubes, these are the real deal. Installation time is about 10 minutes. Fits 1998-2004 C5 incl. Z06

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove by inserting a small screw driver blade under the metal clip on each end of the strut and prying the clip outward while pulling the strut away from the ball nut that it is attached to.
2. Each end of the strut will "pop" off of the ball nut. Make sure that you support the hood so that it doesn't close when you remove the strut.
3. To install the new chrome strut cover, simply place a piece of masking tape on the whole length of the barrel of your strut and add aditional pieces as necessary to make a tight fit when you slide the cover over the strut barrel.
4. To reinstall the strut make sure you place the correct end over the ball nut and press it on with your hand. Do one end at a time.
